To cope with the global climate change and the consensus of the universal energy saving and carbon reduction in the whole world and in response to the sustainable development of the world environment and business, the Company evaluates the usable method of cost benefit in the factory and the improvement solution of enhancing the energy efficiency in accordance with the RBA contents. The safety and environment general affairs unit conducts an initial check of energy consumption and finds the existing lighting equipment (fluorescent tube) in the Company is significantly different from LED equipment (LED lamp tube) in the market in terms of energy consumption and illumination entire energy utilization effect. Therefore, the Company undertakes the energy utilization and evaluation planning and goes on with the preparation of the follow-up engineering plan.

A.Greenhouse gas emission and management

The products of the Company belong to the low-pollution connector manufacturing industry and the major energy consumption comes from the outsourced electricity, which is mainly applied to the energy use of the production equipment. For recent two year, the main emission source is the outsourced electricity, which accounts for 100% of the entire emissions. Consequently, the Company calculates the greenhouse gas emission depending on the whole industry framework and establishes the greenhouse gas check process in accordance with ISO14064-1 standard; the check results are as follows:

2.Water resource management

The Company keeps an eye on the issue of water resource. During the evaluation of the manufacturing process, the focus is mainly put on the dry process in order to reduce the consumption of water resource. The source of most part of daily life intake inside the Company is installed with the water saving device and the process cooling adopts the water resource circulation method to make full and good use of water resource.

Note 2: Describe the reason for the increase of water consumption per capita: In keeping with the COVID-19 anti-pandemic policy and considering the talents as the important assets, the Company ask the co-workers to pay more attention to cleaning on weekdays; we reinforce the propaganda to implement the personal hygiene (e.g. wash hands with me) with a view to protecting health and safety of personnel in the factory.

3.Waste Substance Management

The Company’s waste is mainly produced from the waste, the packing materials which cannot be recycled and the damaged test components, produced from the employees’ daily operation. In the waste statistics in 2021, the waste produced from the employees’ daily operation represents 89.65% of the total waste, 7.18% for the packing materials which cannot be recycled and 3.17% for the damaged test components and the ratio of its overall volume to the greenhouse gas is not high. Accordingly, the waste management is not a critical issue of the Company. However the Company still adheres to the concept of environment sustainability and advocates a diversity of trash reduction measures and policies for the purpose of reducing the formation of waste produced from the employees’ daily operation.

C.Future Goal

In view of sustainable management and development, the Company sets up a period of three years to go on with a goal to reduce carbon (CO2) emission by 10% year by year.
